A creamy, comforting Chicken Alfredo dish combining tender chicken and rich Parmesan sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips, seasoned with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained pasta. Toss everything together until well-coated in the sauce.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for better melting and flavor. Don’t overcook the pasta; aim for al dente.
