A cozy and delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich, this hearty soup combines tender beef with a rich, creamy base.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef steak, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large pot. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, stirring until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the pot, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and shredded provolone cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot, garnished with additional cheese if desired.

Notes

Slice the beef thinly for tenderness and adjust seasoning as needed. Avoid overcooking the cream to maintain texture.
