Delightfully rich brownies topped with sweet marshmallows and homemade salted caramel, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup homemade salted caramel sauce
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then stir in the sugar.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly to avoid cooking the eggs.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then mix into the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Drizzle the homemade salted caramel sauce over the brownie layer.
  9. Top with the remaining brownie batter.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Add mini marshmallows on top and return to the oven for 5 minutes.
  12. Create a spiderweb by swirling the marshmallows with a knife.
  13. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute half the sugar with applesauce. You can also add nuts for extra texture.
