A flavorful dish that balances sweet and spicy notes, perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sriracha, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl until well blended.
  2. Heat a drizzle of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
  3. Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken in the skillet. Reduce heat to a simmer and let cook for another 5 minutes, allowing chicken to soak up the sauce.
  4. Serve the firecracker chicken over cooked rice and enjoy!
