Ingredients
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 green onions, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
Coat the Chicken: Place the boneless chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, making sure they are thoroughly coated.
Set to Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return to the slow cooker and stir well to mix with the sauce.
Serve: Serve the General Tso’s chicken over rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
