Ingredients
8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or penne)
1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
1/2 cup whole milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook your pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
Add Broth and Milk: Pour in the chicken broth and milk into the skillet. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer while stirring occasionally.
Incorporate Parmesan: Stir in the freshly grated parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine Pasta and Sauce: Drain the cooked pasta, then add it to the sauce. Toss together, adding reserved pasta water if the sauce needs thinning.
Serve: Transfer to plates, garnishing with additional parmesan if desired. Enjoy your dish warm!
Notes
For best results, use fresh ingredients and avoid overcooking the garlic.
