Creepy Eyeball Pasta Casserole

A playful pasta casserole featuring marinara, cheese, and spooky eyeball toppings that delight both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (any shape you prefer)
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Black olives (for eyeballs)
  • Cherry tomatoes (for eyeballs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with marinara sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Stir until well-coated.
  4. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread the pasta mixture evenly in the dish.
  5. Drop dollops of ricotta cheese over the surface.
  6. Halve the black olives and cherry tomatoes. Arrange them on top of the pasta mixture to resemble eyeballs.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the entire casserole.
  8. Bake the casserole for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

Use any pasta shape you have on hand. Substitute homemade tomato sauce for marinara if preferred.
