A delightful dish combining succulent chicken breasts with rich mushrooms in a luscious cream sauce enhanced by white wine, perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup white wine (dry variety)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Cook the chicken breasts, seasoned with salt and pepper, for about 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms in the same skillet for about 4-5 minutes until tender.
  4. Deglaze the skillet with white wine, scraping the bottom to release browned bits and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the heavy cream, mixing well, and allow the sauce to simmer for another 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating with the creamy sauce, and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor, and adjust seasoning as needed.
