A delightful dish combining tender chicken with a rich, flavorful cream sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Allow it to melt, then add the minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes until it slightly thickens.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until smooth. Return chicken thighs to the skillet and simmer for another 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  7. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream. Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
