A delightful and flavorful dish of creamy pasta tossed with tender chicken and vibrant broccoli, perfect for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to bubble gently.
  3. Sauté the garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
  4. Cook the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Add broccoli: In the last few minutes of cooking the chicken, add the broccoli florets to the skillet. This allows them to steam slightly while the chicken finishes cooking.
  6. Combine ingredients: Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken and broccoli, then add the cooked pasta. Toss everything together to ensure the pasta is well coated in the buttery sauce.
  7. Season: Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  8. Serve: Serve warm, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Don’t overcook pasta and feel free to customize with your favorite vegetables or spices.
