Grilled Pizza is a fun and delicious way to enjoy a classic favorite with a crispy texture and smoky flavor, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Olive Oil
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Fresh Basil
  • Assorted Toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, etc.)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high for optimal cooking.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a 10-12 inch round on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Oil one side of the dough with olive oil and place it oiled side down on the grill.
  4. Grill for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden and has nice grill marks.
  5. Flip the dough over and quickly add tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and desired toppings.
  6. Close the grill lid and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and melted, and the bottom is crispy.
  7. Serve the pizza by removing it from the grill, slicing, and garnishing with fresh basil.

Notes

Let the dough rest before rolling to make stretching easier. Don’t overload with toppings and use a pizza peel for easy transfer.
